The Role
Overview
Inspect incoming, in-process and finished products for quality compliance.

Tasks
-Analyze inspection results and assist in addressing and resolving production problems causing deviations from existing standards. -Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability. -Route product for re-work. -Ensure finished product is packaged and loaded correctly to minimize possible damage during transportation and incorrect product shipped. -Interpret detailed blueprints, work orders, engineering specifications, and routing sheets to determine production standards and tolerance limits. -Work Standards: Setting high standards of performance for self and others; assuming responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposing standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed. -Perform inspection on first piece, in process, purchased part and finished material and products, ensuring conformance to specifications. -Test finished products for, dimensions, fit, and appearance. -Process purchase damage numbers when incorrect material is received. -Complete all required records and paperwork to include inspection reports, damage reports, return reports, and re-work orders. -Recommend methods of assembly and production. -Perform tests including hardness testing and holiday testing. -Troubleshoot print and bill of materials problems.

What You Bring
-Basic proficiency with computers required -Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day -Basic skills in math required -Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time -0-1+ years of experience desired -Prior experience with measurement tools and gauges -Communicate with plant supervision noted deviations of tolerances and quality. -High School/GED required -Strong written and oral communication skills a must -Depending on the assigned department, must be able to demonstrate the ability to lift up to 60 pounds, and complete an audiogram test -Communication: Convey information and ideas clearly and concisely to individuals or groups in an engaging manner that helps them understand and retain the message; listen actively to others.
