The Role

Overview

Install and fabricate commercial glass, window and door systems on job sites.

Tasks

-Fabricate and install storefront, curtain wall, commercial windows and doors, heavy glass, break metal and ACM paneling. -Measure field openings and brake metal needs. -Perform under direction of lead. -Practice safe work methods at all times, report, and respond to hazardous situations. -Complete and submit daily paperwork. -Maintain a neat and clean truck and working area and job site area. -Load and unload glass, aluminum frames, and other products in a safe manner to prevent injury or waste. -Work on your feet for extended periods of time, including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting. -Assemble materials with mechanical fasteners, rivets, and/or sealants. -Maintain knowledge of existing and new products with commercial applications. -Travel safely to work sites accordingly to the job order in the company’s vehicle within assigned territories in the state. -Wear and use personal protective equipment per Tri City Glass & Door and contractor policies -Handle raw glass and aluminum on a regular basis. -Fabricate and alter aluminum materials and hardware as needed using hand tools and power tools on job site.

What You Bring

-Ability to prioritize, multitask, and problem-solve. -Must be at least 18 years old or older. -Must be able to accurately read a tape measure and do shop math. -Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with hand tools and power tools -Ability to work out of town overnight. -Ability to regularly lift and/or carry up to 100 lbs. -Read and understand work orders, shop drawings, and architectural plans. -Understand basic construction concepts. Previous construction/residential experience, plus. -Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, lifts, or scaffolding.
