The Role
Overview
Operate directional drills and related equipment for utility/solar construction projects.

Tasks
-Perform hand digging. -Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on equipment. -Run power tools. -Load and unload equipment. -Transportation of equipment to and from job sites. -Maintain material inventory on truck. -Develop proficiency in safe operation of HDD and other equipment. -Perform general site preparation, restoration and right of way maintenance duties.

What You Bring
-Knowledge of Horizontal Directional Drilling techniques and standards (preferred). -Must have at least three years of experience in HDD operation. -Must be proficient in HDD Operation for pilot bore, reaming and product pullback. Properly able to operate rod loader systems and pump levels. *Ditch Witch and Vermeer Experience preferred*. -Working knowledge of HDD Locate Equipment. -Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination. -Digitrak and Subsite Experience (preferred). -Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day. -Must be able to position one-self to work in confined spaces such as trenches, pits, manholes, and tunnels. -Must be proficient with HDD mud mixing equipment and have a working knowledge of mud mixing materials and quantities. -Must have a Class A CDL license with tanker endorsement (required). -Must have a valid driver's license (required). -High School diploma or equivalent (required). -Working knowledge of 811 Requirements and Procedures. -Active leadership skills as lead position while crew foreman is offsite. -Endurance to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including bending, stooping, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. -Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. -Agility and flexibility to navigate construction sites and access work areas, including climbing ladders and scaffolding. -Must be able to traverse irregular and steep terrain. -Working knowledge of underground utilities. -Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, tools, and equipment (up to 50 pounds or more).
