The Role

Overview

Lead design team for gas supply MOBs, ensuring compliance and project delivery.

Tasks

-Work with the Building Safety Regulator, Local Authorities and other 3rd parties on planning and approval of designs -Provide technical support on MOBs as needed within SGN -Supporting the wider Network Management team with other tasks when required -Work with operational teams on application of designs -Producing technical reports -Ensure designs are compliant with the relevant Legislation and technical standards -Production, appraisal and approval of standard and complex designs for various gas supply types to domestic and commercial MOBs -Continual development of design processes and documentation -Managing a team of designers -Manage any design variations on projects

What You Bring

-The role will require some travel around the UK, therefore you must have a valid driving licence -You will ideally have experience of managing staff -Strong organisational and prioritisation skills -You will have previous experience in Engineering Design -Highly motivated with a flexible approach -You must be a qualified Chartered or Incorporated Engineer or working towards this -You must be able to demonstrate a history of successfully delivering projects, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong technical knowledge and understanding of the gas network -Ability to respond and adapt quickly to change; and meet tight deadlines
