  • Contribute to business development activities including the preparation of project proposals and presentations, and client need research.
  • Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees.
  • Provide assistance to project managers with multidisciplinary and water resources engineering projects in support of stormwater management, municipal servicing, hydrologic and hydraulic assessments, preliminary and detail design assignments within the transportation, land development, private industry, and municipal infrastructure business sectors.
  • Development, coordination, and participation in field inspection, reconnaissance, data collection and monitoring programs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members.
  • Coordination for water resources contributions to a wide range of small to large multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Assistance with the preparation of reports and proposals, including drafting content, organizing information, and aligning content with project scope and requirements.
  • Completion of watershed and sub-watershed scale hydrology investigations and hydraulic assessments of open channel and closed pipe systems.

  • Experience in the design of stormwater management systems, culverts, bridges, sewers and open channel systems.
  • A degree in civil/environmental or water resources engineering.
  • Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling systems that may include professional working experience with HEC-RAS, XPSWMM, InfoWorks ICM, PCSWMM, and others.
  • Exceptional communication (verbal and written) skills are essential.
  • Experience in working on detailed design of stormwater management features.
  • Familiarity with federal and provincial flood line mapping guidelines would be considered an asset.
