R & D Cad Automation Developer II

Overview

Develops and maintains CAD automation tools to streamline HVAC equipment design.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Optimize processes to enhance performance, productivity, and user experience. -Coordinate with other engineers, management, and the creative departments to determine design solutions. -Conduct thorough testing and debugging of automation scripts & tools to identify and resolve issues promptly. -Aides in communication with the Design/Drafting teams to maintain standards. -Assists in the development of 2D drafting/design tools to improve efficiency within the Engineering department. -Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours. -Maintain existing engineering records and designs. -Supports conceptual and preliminary models/drawings to be used for development of product. -Collaborate closely with Engineering department and other teams to understand project requirements.

What You Bring

-Four-year degree in Computer Science (or similar field of study) or Four years of industry experience in similar technical field. -Experience using Python, VBA, C# or other programming languages. -Travels, when necessary, for product development at other AAON plants. -Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment. -Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills. -Proficiency in utilizing a distributed version control system, particularly Git, with in a team setting. -Communicates effectively in written and spoken form. -Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem-solving abilities. -Strong collaborative skills, effectively engaging with colleagues to drive projects forward through clear communication. -Experience using computer-aided design such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks or SolidEdge is a plus. -Works effectively in a team environment. -Lift up to 50lbs. -Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills.
