The Role

Overview

Oversee HSE compliance for data center construction projects in Goodyear, AZ.

Tasks

-Facilitate periodic HSE training programs, including working at heights, lockout/tagout (LOTO), confined space entry, and electrical safety. -Report KPIs and safety metrics to corporate leadership and the client. -Lead safety briefings, toolbox talks, and conduct site safety orientations for all new workers and contractors. -Perform routine site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments; document findings and ensure timely corrective actions. -Develop, implement, and manage the site-specific safety plan (SSSP) in accordance with OSHA, client standards, and corporate safety policies. -Act as the primary on-site contact for all incident response, investigation, and reporting processes. -Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all safety-related documentation, including JSAs, incident logs, PPE usage, and permits. -Support compliance with environmental regulations and fire/life safety requirements for critical infrastructure. -Coordinate with construction managers, project managers engineers, and contractors to ensure all operations are performed safely and in compliance. -Oversee the safe installation and commissioning of mechanical, electrical, and IT infrastructure systems specific to data centers.

What You Bring

-Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. -Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or a related field. -Experience with mission-critical facilities, including MEP systems, generators, and UPS systems is highly advantageous. -Ability to work in high-paced environments and manage multiple priorities. -Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions. -Working knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926, NFPA, and ANSI standards. -5+ years of safety management experience on large-scale construction projects; data center construction experience preferred. -Relevant certifications such as CHST, CSP, or OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification. -Proficiency in safety management software and Microsoft Office Suite. -Familiarity with contractor safety management platforms (e.g., ConstructSecure, ISNetworld). -Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
