- Help position Arup as a leader in heritage and conservation work across the province.
- Lead the assessment, preservation and adaptive reuse of historic and heritage structures, applying technical expertise and creative problem-solving to deliver innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute a dynamic go-to-market strategy aimed at expanding Arup’s structural and heritage practice in Ottawa.
- Cultivate and maintain trusted relationships with clients, architects and industry partners, strengthening Arup’s presence in the market.
- Support the growth of the SMEP team in Ottawa, including mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Partner with the Ottawa Office Leader on GTM initiatives and business-development activities.
- Lead and contribute to high-profile projects, ensuring seamless multidisciplinary coordination and technical excellence.

- Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering required (Master’s preferred).
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.); licensure in Ontario (or local jurisdiction) required.
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and deliver projects of varying scale.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with a track record of client engagement and business development.
- Established network within the Ottawa market, with a reputation for technical excellence and leadership.
- A minimum of 15 years’ experience in structural engineering, including demonstrated experience in heritage, preservation or adaptive-reuse projects required.
