Tasks

-Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking for regulated and commercial activities -Analyze cost drivers, asset performance, and service delivery metrics to identify efficiency opportunities -Contribute to sustainability and innovation initiatives by evaluating financial viability and ROI -Monitor regulatory compliance impacts on financial performance and advise on mitigation strategies -Deliver clear, actionable insights to non-finance stakeholders through dashboards and presentations -Support pricing strategies and contract negotiations with commercial clients -Develop financial models for capital investment, asset lifecycle planning, and regulatory submissions

What You Bring

-Demonstrated experience in commercial finance, financial planning & analysis (FP&A) and business partnering, ideally within utilities, infrastructure, or environmental services -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams -Proficiency in financial systems and tools, including Microsoft Excel; experience with business intelligence platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is advantageous -Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills, with a proven ability to interpret complex data and drive strategic insights -Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks relevant to the water and waste industry (e.g., Ofwat, Environment Agency) and their financial implications -Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience
