Mechanical Field Service Engineer Aeroderivative Gas Turbine

Tasks

-Troubleshoot complicated mechanical and hydraulic problems on variable pitch/ variable speed turbines -Use hand tools and small power tools to conduct general maintenance of Aeroderivative Gas Turbines -In this role, you will travel to and work on customer sites in line with customer requirements. The duration of the work at site and the hours of work at the site will be in line with customer requirements. In between work assignments, you will have free time in line with Baker Hughes working time guidelines and fatigue management provisions. -Overseeing, overhaul, troubleshooting and commissioning of Aeroderivative products at customer sites. -Ensuring internal training, compliance and quality documentation is updated, followed, and completed according to company standards. -Ensure all in-field activities carried out safely complying with company environmental health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and procedures -Leading in customer and contractor meetings to share and update action plans and to advise on technical solutions. -Execute hands-on job duties on site, including sub-contractor coordination and customer/internal communication -Perform all mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, repair or replacement of parts as directed -Providing technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance, and quality.

What You Bring

-Technically well-rounded and multi-skilled to address mechanical activities on the gas turbine and troubleshooting (including packages, auxiliary systems and balance of plant (BOP) -4+ years of work as a mechanical technician on aircraft engines, aero-derivative engines or other types of turbine technology. -Be available to travel globally 70% of the time -Extensive Experience with gas turbines maintenance activities is required. -Knowledge of gas turbine control logic and combustion tuning system (DLE mapping) -Have an EU Passport or a European Work permit. -Have experience working in a mechanical role in an energy or oil and gas environment (or similar). -Have a deep awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance and potential risks. -Have a good English knowledge. -Good mechanical/technical and oral communication skills. -Demonstrate a good working knowledge of the installation and maintenance of rotating equipment. Bolting, Hydraulic Bolting, Flange Management, Small Bore Piping -Proven extensive experience in performing advanced site maintenance activities on AERO engines such as: Hot section replacement, Top case etc. -Display an impressive customer service-orientation mindset and experience leading customers through tough decisions. -Be skilled at communicating complex technical information to customers and teams with varying levels of technical understanding. -Additional experience in assessing component residual life is a Strong Plus
