Overview

Manage design, installation and commissioning of airport elevators, escalators and moving walks.

Tasks

-Supervision and management of the customer’s designers and contractors in the delivery of the terminal Automated People Mover VHTS system design. -Liaison with customer representatives as the subject matter expert and accountable person for delivery of VHTS assets engineering documentation, including presentations and reporting as required. -Coordinate VHTS asset design with other project disciplines, review project design criteria, vendor submissions, construction inspection records and startup test reports -Monitoring & reporting on the progress and performance of the customer’s designers and contractor. -Coordination with the Stakeholder Management team to ensure that all required permits and approvals are achieved in a timely manner throughout the Project life cycle. -Review of technical submissions from designers and contractor relating to the VHTS assets. -Support to Contracts & Procurement in the delivery of design to support procurement and post tender technical evaluation and award recommendations. -Coordinate VHTS asset design integration across numerous contracts, work packages and stakeholders. -Support the production of verification packages to facilitate turnover of the completed VHTS assets. -Support to Construction & Quality delivery teams during the execution of the works relating to the VHTS assets, including resolution of requests for information, field change requests, non-conformance reports and work inspection requests. -Undertake audits, reports and present findings of designer, contractor, stakeholder and project team application and adherence to engineering processes and policies. -Support to Start-Up/Commissioning team from the outset to ensure that start-up/commissioning and hand-over requirements are addressed early in the design process and support the conduct of testing and commissioning during the execution of the works. -Support the undertaking of vendor factory testing & inspections for the VHTS assets.

What You Bring

-Experience with integration of airport VHTS systems into BMS/SCADA and other airport systems. -Possesses working knowledge and production ability with computer-aided drafting software, such as AutoCAD and Revit. -Knowledge and experience with APM system design, construction, testing and operation. -Professional accreditation with an appropriate internationally recognized body. -Understanding of airline industry and international regulatory codes, standards and design criteria relating to airport design. -Familiarity with sustainability design requirements and third party sustainability accreditation requirements such as LEED. -Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and minimum of 8 years of relevant VHTS engineering experience. -Knowledge of interface management and the management of system to civil and system to system interfaces. -Possesses a working knowledge of BIM processes, including experience designing projects in BIM platforms, particularly Revit and Navisworks. -Familiarity with applicable national and international design codes, including EN115, EN81, ASME 17.1 and NFPA codes.
