Support VAVE / NPD project work
Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures
Review orders to ensure they are error free prior to being built in the shop
Work with minor independent judgment under close direction of senior staff. Work content and accuracy reviewed by engineers or senior department members
Complete assignments and detect and correct own errors. Not responsible for supervising others
Some travel may be required to various locations to support products or train other personnel
Maintain competency level of computer aided graphic system and other applications through company-provided training and materials

Work from oral or written engineering instructions, procedures, schematics, drawings, and sketches
Understand and adhere to design and drafting standard practices
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products
Experience with parametric design is preferred but willingness to learn is acceptable
Must be customer driven and quality minded in performing all assigned duties
Moderate mobility required acquiring necessary information from other areas or departments. Occasionally required to lift materials for support of supplier development, product prototype, or laboratory build and test
Working knowledge of computer aided graphic system required, preferably Creo
Must be able to function in a technical engineering team environment

Must be working towards a bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, or mechanical design from an accredited technical school required
Must understand basic principles of designing equipment, drafting, and computer-aided design and apply principles to assigned tasks
Must be able to adjust to changing demands, priorities and objectives
Must have the ability to handle multiple, varied tasks simultaneously

Two hours per week from March to April leading up to onsite internship
This is a full-time summer internship between May and August
