Overview
Lead field construction to meet budget, schedule, safety for projects under $5M.

Tasks
-Assists the Project Manager with subcontractor disputes, quality control and schedule coordination -Communicates site problems, conflicts, schedule and quality issues effectively to the Project Manager and owner -Works with the Project Manager and owner’s representatives to ensure work complies with drawings and specifications -Supports the Project Manager in the negotiation of claims and changes -Assists the Project Manager with Change Order review -Plans and supervises all activities including determining method of construction, sequencing, manpower levels, material quantities, equipment and work schedule -Maintains open communication between all subcontractors to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc. support project activities and project schedule -Assists the Safety Department in performing incident and/or accident investigations and follow-up -Performs additional assignments per supervisor’s direction -Performs project close-out and ensures punch list is completed in a timely manner -Trains and manages Foremen from various trades and field administrative personnel -Through assigned Foremen, manages the day-to-day activities of the construction operation -Resolves field construction problems -Assists the Project Manager with review (% complete) of monthly pay requests submitted by contractors -Mentors Project Engineers assigned to the project -Provides input to Project Manager regarding cost and schedule forecasts -In conjunction with the Project Manager, creates and maintains project schedule; plans, monitors and reviews critical path dates and milestone schedules -Monitors Foremen & subcontractor compliance with project safety program requirements; insures that weekly safety inspections and toolbox talks are completed; ensures that corrective measures are implemented -Ensure that foremen or self does daily recording of quantities, time and daily logs in Heavy Job. -Monitors staffing levels that contribute to EEO goals for minorities and females

What You Bring
-Understands all subcontractors’ scopes; assures subcontractors maintain schedules, and quality standards meet contract requirements -Knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise small to midsized groups -Ability to read and interpret construction documents -A minimum of five years' experience on Demolition, Heavy Civil and/or Heavy Highway construction projects in a General Foreman or Craft Superintendent position -Basic computer skills preferred -Effective communication skills -Good organization, multi-tasking, leadership and decision-making ability
