Overview

Deliver habitat creation/enhancement projects, overseeing design, contracts, monitoring.

Tasks

-Writing the specification for key materials for the habitat bank for the project manager to procure against (e.g. seed requirements, fencing requirements etc.) -Reviewing ecology design for successful implementation -Writing or reviewing the management section of the Habitat Management Plan and Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan -Providing activity schedules to the project manager to build into the programme -Meeting contractors on site and setting to work and managing contractor KPIs -Reviewing Construction Phase Plan or equivalent (including Incident Response Plan), reviewing delivery methodology and providing input to the project risk register

What You Bring

-Educated to a degree level in a relevant subject. Or equivalent work experience -Experience of working within a budget and within a set time frame -A track record of delivering nature recovery projects -Experience of working directly with farmers and/or landowners, in a professional capacity -Full UK clean driving license and willingness to travel for regional site visits and events -Experience in rural land management -Experience of working with contractors -Knowledge of the principles and practice of habitat creation/restoration and management -A Health and Safety qualification e.g. NEBOSH/IOSH
