The Role

Overview

Commercial welder/pipefitter installing and fabricating piping systems

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Bends pipe by hand or with pipe-bending tools and machine. -Tests piping systems for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and observing gauges attached to pipes for indication of leaks. -Observes and complies with all safety and project rules and all company policies and procedures -Threads pipe using threading machine. -Cuts pipe using hacksaw, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine.

What You Bring

-OSHA 10 or 30 Certification. -For safety reasons, basic English proficiency is required -Ability to perform installation of hangers and supports. -A pre-employment drug screen is required. -Ability to sweat and braze copper. -Ability to weld a variety of pipe (stainless, carbon steel, etc.) -Ability to use roll groove machine. -Journeyman License is a plus! -3 - 5+ years of experience in commercial welding and pipefitting. -You must have a valid driver's license. -Ability to read, understand, and install according to blueprints. -Ability to weld pipe in all positions (standing, kneeling, etc.) -VRF certification is preferred. -Ability to lay out and fit pipe together.
