Oversee and implement quality management processes and training across construction projects.

Tasks
-Ensure assigned project’s quality inspections, observations, and testing are in conformance with contract documents, are properly documented, and utilize proper resources. -Ensure quality program initiatives are implemented at the project level. -Verify that all internal and external project inspections and observations are in compliance to the contract documents by using project quality staff or performing a direct review. -Interact with client/owner, agencies, subcontractors, and internal staff on quality related matters including performance activities such as inspections, observations, program setup, program planning and program execution. -Provide support to project staff to help maintain consistency in proper submittal practices and ensure conformance to the contract documents. -Provide training and mentoring to staff including current software programs. Specifically, in the use of Procore. -Review project plans and specifications for quality requirements. -Verify contractor quality requirements are specified to vendors and sub-contractor documentation submittals. -Perform periodic assessments and notify the project management team of any deviations from the quality plan as well as any known quality issues. -Coordinate site Quality activities with project site quality staff. -Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies. -Ensure adequate corrective measures are implemented in cases of noncompliance. -Support quality staff by coaching, counseling, and holding employees accountable. -Oversee the development and implementation of project quality plans. -Take personal responsibility for working safely within an Incident and Injury Free (IIF) culture. -Participate in the planning, development, and implementation of the Three Phase process on High-Risk Definable Features of Work. -Monitor and manage Quality related activities to contract quality requirements for multiple projects. -Participate in root cause analysis for complex issues. -Review inspection, compliance testing and remediation. -Provide coaching and consultation on quality-related items. -Educate the owner and project team about quality requirements and monitoring during the project. -Collaborate with project teams to assist in pre-bid and post bid requirements for project bidders.

What You Bring
-Willingness to work in various (sometimes extreme) climate conditions. -Formal QA/QC training and certification preferred. i. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Construction Quality Management (CQM-C) certification preferred. -Root causes analysis experience. -Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards. -Formal building envelope commissioning training preferred. Understanding and utilization of the following industry standards. i. NIBS (National Institute of Building Sciences) Guideline 3-2013 Building Enclosure Commissioning Process. ii. ASTM E2813-12. Standard Practice for Building Enclosure Commissioning. iii. ASHRAE Guideline 0-2013. The Commissioning Process. -Demonstrated understanding of construction codes, compliance, standards, and controls. -Developed skills (written, oral, and listening) in order to effectively communicate with diverse audiences. -Ability to travel to project sites. -Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or related field and 6+ years of quality control and quality assurance experience over a wide range of project sizes and types. -Experience cultivating an active network of relationships, driving collaboration and alignment, relating well to colleagues, and connecting with employees at all levels. -Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software. -Experience in a complex business as an active participant in driving growth and change; demonstrated effectiveness in driving operations and executing plans. -Ability to drive to the core of complex issues and provide insightful and constructive feedback.
