Tasks

-Manage the compilation and production of sales and marketing reports applying concepts applicable to AEC Industry to calculate firm trajectory. -Develop methods to conduct market research to identify trends affecting the industry in all relevant areas including political and legal to identify opportunities for growth. -Develop models to analyze data to track campaign performance and provide insights for improvement. -Direct supervision of a small team of research analysts and support staff. -Utilize Artificial Intelligence tools to automate data collection and analysis, uncover hidden patterns in large datasets, monitor social media for sentiment and trends, and create predictive models to forecast market shifts and customer behavior. -Lead processes for gathering quantitative and qualitative market and competitor intelligence for identified industry growth categories. -Analyze data from internal and external source systems and identify trends and processes as they relate to reporting and tracking marketing metrics. -In support of senior decision makers, lead the development of market/business plans and recommendations based on the data, analysis, and interpretation. -Develop methods and processes for gathering, tracking, and reporting competitive intelligence to support the entire cycle of marketing and business development by assessing federal, state, and local budgetary and spending analysis, providing data and insights, and identifying leads. -Gather and evaluate relevant market, client and competitor information to review market position and determine threats and opportunities. -Manage external market research vendors and consultants. -Work with senior level staff, business unit leaders, strategic planners, and business development staff to provide guidance and support staff for market research, strategic plans, market strategies, and other relevant services. -Manage processes to turn data into insights while synthesizing and clearly communicating analysis, both written and verbal. -Provide ad hoc analytical support to drive actionable decision making and support strategic planning and operational measures. -Manage market research projects and reports and data visualization for internal use.

What You Bring

-Industry Knowledge/Business Acumen. Knowledge of federal, state, and local markets in the AEC industry and marketing in general through past work experience. Understanding of business operations of professional services firms. Proficient in reviewing publicly available government information such as capital improvement plans, budgets, expenditure data, contract award information, and similar. -Software / Data. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Power BI. Knowledge of and experience with sam.gov, Deltek/GovWin, and similar data aggregators. Experience using AI to streamline research design and to expedite identification of growth opportunities. -Bachelor's degree in related fields such as business administration, finance, marketing, information science, statistics, or other. -Experience working in an office environment and independently. -Independent. Initiative-taker with the ability to adapt and thrive in a demanding environment with minimal direction. Ability to ask for help when needed. -Project Management. Solid project management and prioritization skills. -8-10 years of market intelligence research experience. -Critical/Strategic Thinking. Analytical thinker with strong technical skills and the ability to make recommendations based on data insights. Ability to analyze complex issues, interpret, and communicate them in a concise, understandable format to multiple audiences. -AEC industry experience supporting AEC professional service/consulting firms is highly preferred. -Technical Skills. Proficiency with market research methodologies and data analysis tools. -Communication. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Advanced editing skills. -Organized/Detailed. Highly organized, efficient, and detail-oriented with the ability to maintain standards for quality of work. -Customer Service. Dedication to outstanding customer service for internal clients and teammates. Ability to work cooperatively in a cross-functional environment.
