The Role

Overview

Perform drainage and civil works, operate machinery, ensure safety, documentation.

Tasks

-Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements and safe system of work. -Troubleshoot issues related to drainage systems and provide effective solutions -Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks -Carry out groundwork tasks such as digging trenches, laying pipes, spot repairs and preparing surfaces for construction. -Install and maintain over-pumping systems -Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition. -Maintain great customer service and communication -Ensuring on and off sites are live to avoid any penalties with highways permits -Carry out site specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team member and site supervisor -Wearing and maintaining in good condition any Personal Protective Equipment provided for your protection and bringing to your supervisor’s attention any defects or shortcomings with the equipment. -Perform daily vehicle checks and maintenance to ensure roadworthiness -Updating and completing site documentation using electronic tablet -Ensure all works are carried out in line with approved method statements. -Adhere to company absence reporting procedure -Report any issues or hazards by following company procedures -Maintain safe excavations with installation of ground support -Recording photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed -Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
