Perform Preventative Maintenance: Coordinate and execute preventive maintenance tasks in guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure equipment is operating at its best.
Safety First: Oversee and ensure that all safety equipment complies with federal, state, and local regulations, and facilitate quarterly and annual inspections. Be a safety champion for both the team and the guests.

Ability to endure frequent physical activity, including lifting, carrying, and handling equipment.
Familiarity with managing and troubleshooting building systems and using alternatives in emergency situations.
Proficiency in using power tools, hand tools, meters, and other equipment related to engineering functions.
Strong knowledge of all mechanical equipment critical to the hotel’s operations, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire systems.
In-depth understanding of repair and maintenance codes, including health, plumbing, electrical, fire, and OSHA codes.
Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to handle unexpected challenges with confidence and calm.
High school diploma or equivalent is required; vocational training or a college degree is a plus.
Any building trade licenses or certificates from the state of operation are highly preferred.
Minimum of 2 years as a hotel maintenance engineer, with previous supervisory experience strongly preferred.
Excellent communication skills to work effectively with guests, management, and co-workers. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus.
Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality with hotel operations and guest information.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, and safety manuals.
