The Role
Overview
Design and deliver interior concepts, drawings, FF&E specs, and client presentations.

Tasks
-Develops innovative design concepts that are practical, aesthetic, safe and reflective of the intended purpose and function of the project -Incorporates integrated sustainable design solutions into projects -Selects and specifies FF&E to carry out design intent -Communicates with other disciplines, vendors, and contractors to incorporate all required information into the project -Implements and follows Wimberly Interiors standards for all projects and processes -Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service -May complete technical research and prepare specification manuals -Solicits bids and assists in subcontracting fabrication, installation, and arrangement of the materials, finishes, and furnishings required -Prepares and updates documents during schematic design, design development, and construction documentation phases -Participates in team meetings to align the project deliverables to the design intent and prepares and participates in client presentations -Selects and specifies interior architectural materials and finishes, including furniture, lighting and artwork to carry out the design intent -Renders conceptual design ideas and prepares 2D and 3D presentation and design drawings -May mentor and direct the work of less experienced staff

What You Bring
-Ability to meet deadlines, working effectively in a team environment, and manage multiple priorities within established timelines and budgets -Moderate level of experience in graphic design concepts, hand-sketching, vignette scenes, hand coloring, renderings, and shop drawings -Understands technical regulations and code compliance requirements -Able to independently deliver design concepts and conduct programming efforts, such as space planning, layout and FF&E utilization, lighting and color coordination -Minimum of 4 years of experience designing and delivering interior design projects -Proficient technical expertise in MS Office, Adobe Suite, DesignSmart, AutoCAD, Sketchup, and other design tools -Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills -Exposure to translating design concepts into building assemblies -Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field -Some Revit experience preferred -Environmental accreditation desired
