Tasks

As part of our Inspection and Test Team, you’ll ensure the safety and functionality of equipment produced by Capula. Working with electrical schematic drawings and project‑specific Hardware Test Specifications, you’ll carry out inspections and tests to meet the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive (LVD), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Directive, and customer standards. You’ll also support customer acceptance testing and, occasionally, site work. On an ad‑hoc basis, you may assist our Software Team with system software tests. -Equipment build and configuration inspection

What You Bring

-Experience in an ISO 9001 compliant quality system -HNC/HND in Electrical/Electronic discipline, or equivalent (e.g. 17th Edition C&G2382, Inspection & Test, modern apprenticeship) -Ability to read and interpret circuit diagrams, assembly prints, wiring schedules, and parts lists -Current driving licence and ability to work towards SC Clearance -High voltage withstand test -Earth bond continuity test -Peripheral equipment (printers, scanners, etc.) -Insulation resistance test -Experience testing wired assemblies (from back plate to full control system) -IT cubicles with computing/networking equipment -Knowledge of components such as MCBs, RCDs, fuses, transformers, power supplies, and safety‑critical parts -PLC‑based automation control panels -Willingness to attend customer sites for equipment tests -Proficiency with electronic multi‑meters and test equipment
