Tasks

-Support customer-facing activities, including presenting proposals and participating in client clarification meetings as required. -Log and maintain records of tender activities and progress within CRM and proposal tracking systems. -Work to tight deadlines while ensuring attention to detail and compliance with internal governance processes. -Maintain adherence to the company's QHSE policies and procedures during the tendering process. -Prepare tenders and costings ensuring accuracy in line with customer requirements and company strategy. -Isolated occasional travel to visit customers / regional offices. -Analyse client needs to identify the correct solutions and equipment, producing compliant and technically sound proposals. -Lead and participate in proposal review meetings, presenting bid strategies, pricing and technical clarifications. -Develop cost build-ups and apply appropriate margins aligned with the company's operational margin and revenue targets. -Identify and escalate areas of concern within proposals, seeking guidance from SME’s. -Make requests to and Coordinate with the wider Proposal Team, Commercial, Engineering and Operations functions to gather necessary inputs for proposals.

What You Bring

The Tendering Specialist will support the proposals team with tender preparation, cost compilation and documentation. This role requires strong organisational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple workstreams under supervision. -Strong team ethic. -Experience in preparation of tenders and proposals. -Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. -Experience as an Estimator, ideally within Oil & Gas, Construction, or Engineering sectors. -Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills. -Confident to support and input within internal meetings and customer-facing discussions. -Relevant experience in tendering/ estimating in a similar role -Attention to detail under pressure. -Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. -Level 3 Apprenticeship -Ability to interpret customer requirements and translate them into effective technical and commercial proposals. -Understanding of cost build-ups, pricing strategy and margin application aligned with business objectives. -Technical knowledge of pipeline construction and/or general construction processes. -Working towards Degree, or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction, Mathematics, or similar.
