Overview
Assist Project Manager in overseeing mechanical construction projects from inception to completion.

Tasks
-Gather information for changes in work/scope and work with the project team, estimating, and downstream clients for pricing. Project Manager will finalize change order pricing. Ensure no work starts prior to approval or notice to proceed. -Support Project Manager in driving project’s overall flow effectively from inception to completion. -Support in the obtaining and assembly of documentation for the project relating to operation and maintenance manuals. -Support the Project Manager, Safety, and field employees in creating, executing, and fostering a safe work environment. -Assist with schedule of values, or billing format as required by the contract documents. -Escalate critical and/or sensitive issues to the Project Manager with recommendation for resolution. -Assist with project document control, including but not limited to, subcontractors' certificates of insurance, bonding, permits, submittals, RFI’s, change orders, correspondence, etc. -Support project schedule showing completion, delivery dates and sub requirements. Integrate into overall project and manpower schedule as directed. -Review contract and bid documents from estimating; review and understand scope for project turnover. -Comply with all Company operating policies, procedures, and safety programs as established. -Attend all necessary meetings with both internal and external entities to review scheduling and delivery, work plans, job progress, manpower, and solutions to setbacks. -Collaborate with supervisor regarding project safety. (Toolbox talks and weekly walk through.) -Ensure documents are centrally saved in the project’s chosen document control software. -Assist field personnel in commissioning process and closeout of project. -Support project accounting and/or project management in monthly billings and collections and follow up on outstanding balances. -Request PO’s for major equipment and subs indicating shipping requirements and anticipating delivery dates. (Request proper delivery notice at that time.) -Verify correct drawings are distributed to field.

What You Bring
-Must possess ability to manage and supervise personnel. -Must demonstrate technical skills in project management, quality assurance, and costing. -Must be self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. -Familiarity with construction/financial software packages. -Must demonstrate ability to analyze and solve problems on a strategic and tactical level. -3 to 5 years of professional experience in the mechanical, plumbing, and/or industrial HVAC discipline. -Working knowledge of and ability to apply OSHA safety standards. -Familiarity with a wide variety of field concepts, practices and procedures. -Reliable transportation and an ability to travel to the assigned project site is required. -Ability to meet the project site onboarding requirements as set by the contractual requirements is required. -Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail. -Familiarity with local market is desirable. -Working knowledge of construction contract language and terms. -Must demonstrate ability to lead people and get results through others. -Must build positive working relationships with multiple levels of employees, management, suppliers, and customers. -Must have strong attention to detail. -Must demonstrate ability to effectively organize and manage multiple tasks and prioritize work. -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, business administration or related field -Familiarity with project management/document control software. -Familiarity with AutoCAD, and other mechanical, technical, or construction programs. -Must demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, (i.e. Outlook, Word, and Excel) -Must have excellent organizational, communication, strategic, technical, analytical, problem solving, and multi-tasking skills. -Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
