Tasks

-Support and employee infrastructure embedded in the business as a platform for personal and professional development creating pathways for unrivalled career development and progression opportunities internally. -Preparation of tender submission documents -Take-offs from drawings and production of cost-effective tenders from first principles -Preparation and management of tenders from receipt of documents through to delivery -Presentation of tenders to senior management at tender review meetings -Providing assistance to proposals and contract management functions -Liaison with the Supply Chain team in respect of placing supplier/subcontractor enquiries -Effective registration, control, and administration of tender documentation -Effective analysis and pricing of risks -Preparation of estimating reports

What You Bring

-Previous experience as a Senior Estimator in multi-disciplinary civil engineering sectors such as rail, highways, aviation, and/or utilities and power -First Principles Estimating experience -Technical and commercial appraisal of construction labour, plant, materials, and temporary works -Civil engineering project experience -Experience as a Senior Estimator in a civil engineering contractor organisation -Working knowledge of Excel (& Word) and estimating software
