Communicate findings, deficiencies, and recommended corrective actions to project management and contractors.
Verify restoration, traffic control, and final site cleanup meet all project and jurisdictional requirements.
Observe safety practices and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
Document daily construction progress, site conditions, quantities installed, and any deviations or issues encountered.
Review and confirm underground utility locates, bore paths, and as-built documentation.
Travel regularly to job sites across New Jersey and nearby states (PA, DE, NY); occasional overnight travel may be required.
Perform daily field inspections of directional drilling, trenching, and conduit installation activities to verify compliance with project plans, permits, and specifications.
Monitor construction methods, materials, and workmanship for adherence to standards and quality expectations.
Support the closeout process by reviewing redlines, as-builts, photos, and punch list items.
Coordinate with local municipalities, utility owners, and permitting agencies as needed.

Knowledge of directional drilling operations, utility installation standards, and restoration practices.
Primarily field-based role with daily travel to active construction sites.
Repeated and frequent ability to lift, from floor to above head 50 lbs
Familiarity with DOT, municipal, and environmental regulations governing right-of-way construction.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel daily to multiple job sites.
Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feet in an aerial and underground capacity.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
Must be comfortable around heavy equipment and active drilling/construction operations.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital inspection/reporting tools (e.g., Fieldwire, SiteDocs, Fulcrum, or similar).
3+ years of experience in construction inspection or field supervision for underground utility, HDD, or civil infrastructure projects.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, permits, and specifications.
