Tasks

We are seeking a Technical Publications Engineer to develop, revise, and maintain technical manuals and documentation in support of Department of Defense (DoD) aerospace programs. The candidate will ensure compliance with S1000D, MIL-SPEC, and internal publication standards while collaborating closely with engineering and sustainment teams. -Utilize XML-based authoring tools such as Arbortext and FrameMaker to produce and update content. -Collaborate with engineering and logistics teams to incorporate technical updates and service bulletins. -Support document validation and verification activities to ensure technical accuracy and consistency. -Ensure compliance with S1000D, MIL-STD-38784, and other applicable military documentation standards. -Author, edit, and maintain technical manuals, maintenance instructions, and illustrated parts data. -Manage and publish documents through Content Management Systems (CMS) and configuration control processes.

What You Bring

Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder Experience Range: 3–10 Years -Understanding of logistics support analysis (LSA) and interactive electronic technical manuals (IETMs). -B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or Technical Communications (or related discipline). -Experience working with Content Management Systems (CMS) for configuration and revision control. -Proficiency in XML, Arbortext, and Adobe FrameMaker. -Experience developing DoD or aerospace technical manuals. -Strong attention to detail and excellent written communication skills. -Knowledge of S1000D, MIL-SPEC, and aerospace documentation requirements.
