The Role

Overview

Support engineers on transportation projects, data analysis, scheduling, ESG, and docs.

Tasks

-Participating in engineering meetings and providing cost estimating support. -Ensuring all engineering work is reviewed and approved by a licensed Professional Engineer in accordance with APEGA guidelines. -Collaborating with Senior Project Controls Advisors to monitor and manage project expenditures. -Assisting Project Engineers throughout the full lifecycle of Operations Projects. -Executing ad hoc tasks and projects under the supervision of licensed engineers. -Reviewing third-party documents and coordinating Management of Change (MOC) processes. -Supporting data gathering and analysis for internal stakeholders (Commercial, Operations Management, Project Development, Execution). -Maintaining and updating project schedules and documentation. -Supporting IPL’s Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives. -Ensure all work aligns with IPL’s Core Values and EH&S Policy. -Assisting in contract development and evaluation for construction and consulting services. -Contributing to the development and scoping of sustaining and expense projects. -Liaising with system operations and maintenance personnel. -Maintain compliance with applicable regulations and IPL standards.

-Adaptable and open to change. -Enrolled in 3rd year of a Bachelor’s degree at an accredited Canadian University. -Highly organized with attention to detail. -Solid understanding of engineering and business fundamentals. -Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. -Demonstrate superior performance in Environment, Health & Safety (EH&S) and compliance. -Excellent written and verbal communication.
