Yard Operator - Coretrax

Overview

Safely move and record equipment/materials in the yard, oversee lifts and supervise staff.

Tasks

-Organise and oversee the movement of equipment by crane or forklift to ensure it is carried out in line with company procedures and in a safe manner -Carry out maintenance, inspection of equipment as instructed, following procedures and appropriate documentation, up to the required company quality standards -Assist Yard/Base Foreman in daily direction of subordinates allocated to working within yard area to ensure tasks are completed in a safe manner -Carry out the movement of equipment as directed by Yard/Base Foreman in conjunction with Operations department in a safe manner -Ensure that all recording of equipment movements and required documentation is actioned to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in a timely manner -Carry out daily housekeeping of yard areas, forklifts to ensure a clean & safe working environment -Actively participate in daily toolbox talks to discuss safety, maintenance status/tasks, mobilisation/demobilisation updates etc., -Ensure the daily housekeeping of work area is undertaken to ensure a safe working environment

What You Bring

-Written and verbal communication skills, and work effectively with others -Must have experience in conducting lifting operations, i.e Appointed person, LOLER focal point. -Hold appropriate certificates for using and operating of lifting equipment – e.g. fork lift licence, banksman slinger -Proficient PC skills and have an ability to use Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word & Teams) -Previous working experience in a similar role
