Overview

Conduct hydraulic, hydrologic, and water balance modelling for mining water projects

Tasks

-Water balance studies -Build and maintain strong relationships with clients -Technical report writing and proposal preparation -Undertake hydraulic, hydrology and water balance modelling with guidance from senior and principal engineers -Participate in National and International Conferences -Work closely with Engineers-of-Record (EoR) on long-term operational projects -Work with the CAD team to develop project documentation -Support the development of Consequence Category assessments, including dam break modelling -Assist in a range of surface water management studies and investigations from concept through to detailed design -Liaise with other internal disciplines and sub-consultants. What You Bring

-Approx. 4 to 8 years of consulting experience operating within the water resources sector (required) -Experienced in proposal writing and project management (required) -Experience in hydrologic and hydraulic modelling (e.g. TUFLOW, HEC-RAS, RORB, WBNM, Flow-2D) (required) -Familiarity with dam safety guidelines including ANCOLD, GISTM, CDA and DES -Tailings management studies -Water balance studies (GoldSim) (required) -Experience in the following software: 12d, AutoCAD, Civil3D, Muk3D -Experience in the following software: GoldSim -Competent in the use of GIS package/s (required) -Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field of study. (required) -Eligible for membership with Engineers Australia, with the ability to obtain RPEQ/NER once adequately qualified. (required) -Strong written and verbal communication skills (required) -Highly experienced in technical report writing (required) -Working knowledge of ARR guidelines (required)
