  • Collaborate effectively with external and internal customers, such as Marketing, Service, Operations and other engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle

  • Recruit and hire permanent resources to enhance staffing plans and to maintain a healthy pipeline of talent

  • Abreast of upcoming software development/engineering tools, trends, and methodologies
  • Coach and lead a team of engineers across firmware, RTL and digital controls in US responsible for new product development in Medium voltage power electronics used in datacenter and DC charging industry.
  • Evaluate business requirements to determine potential solutions.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to improve the overall effectiveness of the department
  • Manage department budgets and expenses
  • Encourage an environment that promotes effective working relationships within the team and with other functional groups globally

  • Minimum 1 year with Agile development methodologies and concepts
  • Knowledge of either UPS, Energy Storage, DC chargers, medium voltage drives/ converters
  • Strong understanding of firmware requirements development and analysis
  • Hands-on experience with control and embedded FW validation with HIL (OPAL RT, Typhoon)
  • Ability to work effectively in an Agile Scrum (or other iterative development) environment
  • Ability to travel up to 10%
  • Experience with Matlab/Simulink/ Plecs/ System composer
  • Experience working with Linux based embedded systems
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working in real time embedded firmware development
  • Ability to travel to different plants in Raleigh and Youngsville
  • Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and a good familiarity with unit test frameworks
  • Strong problem solving and software debugging skills
  • Minimum 2 years of experience leading engineering teams either as a technical lead or a functional manager
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering from an accredited institution
  • Experience with multicore DSP and FPGA
  • Good judgment, time management, and decision-making skills
  • 5+ years’ experience using Embedded C/C++ for power electronics products
  • Experience using SDLC management tools in a team environment (e.g. Jira, Git, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to effectively explain technical concepts
  • Solid understanding of power electronics based converters
  • Ability to apply automation to tasks that require them
  • Experience with RTL design (Verilog preferred)
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred
  • Self-starter with the ability to operate effectively with minimal supervision
  • Strong understanding of automated testing and tools,
