Tasks

-Verifies amount of aggregate in storage bins and fills hoppers to ensure adequate quantity and quality of raw materials is maintained -May haul cement and/or additives from storage area in bulk or bags, -Moves levers to lower and tilt bucket and drives front-end loader to force bucket into bulk materials -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear, in order to communicate to employees/visitors as well as function safely around heavy rolling equipment -Must wear protective equipment while at the location -Works toward improvement of the assigned plant and surrounding area -Adhere to all CEMEX, OSHA and MSHA rules and regulations at all times and wear proper safety equipment while on plant grounds -Responsible for the operation of front-end loader to lift and transport bulk materials to and from storage areas, to feed conveyors, hoppers and to load trucks or railcars -Confers with plant superintendent, batch person, and other personnel to resolve problems, provide immediate feedback, and may recommend solutions to improve performance -Moves levers to raise and tilt bucket when filled, drives vehicle to work site, and moves levers to dump material -Ensures assigned established performance indicators are met -Performs routine maintenance on loaders, such as lubricating, fueling, and cleaning -Meet or exceed company safety standards -Participates in on-going minor maintenance and visual evaluations of plant and equipment -Participates in making sure the quality and quantity of raw materials meets established standards -Starts engine, shifts gears, presses pedals, and turns steering wheel to operate loader -Follows established procedures to ensure that the plant for which he/she is working is in compliance with state, federal, and local regulations and requirements

What You Bring

-Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently -Continuous exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, extreme noise, and working outdoors -Be able to read, write, and speak English -High School diploma or equivalent -Must be able to perform all job functions which include, but may not be limited to, pushing, turning, and/or pulling of controls -Job involves sitting most of the time, but also involves walking or standing for brief periods of time -36-601.01). Smoking and/or the use of tobacco or related products is prohibited in and on CEMEX property as well as any building and/or vehicle owned or leased by CEMEX. -Bilingual a plus -Requires walking, sitting, lifting, pushing, pulling, and climbing to a significant degree
