The Role

Overview

Supervises crews, schedules, cost, safety, and client relations for water treatment projects.

Tasks

-Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Develop and implement a plan for project completion and turnover -Review and approve the balance of Foreman, Journeyman, and Laborers' composite labor rates. -Manage contract administration, including subcontractor and field management meetings. -Review, approve, and negotiate change orders -Mentor and develop fellow Kiewit staff. -Recommend organizational, procedural, and/or staff changes where appropriate. -Ensure the timely completion of performance evaluations for direct reports. -Submit promotion requests to the Discipline Manager or Construction Manager. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Maintain a daily diary for record-keeping purposes. -Responsible for implementing and maintaining the client relations program.

What You Bring

-Excellent organizational, administrative, communication, and interpersonal skills. -8+ years of construction experience, with 3+ years in a Superintendent/Leadership capacity (preferably on infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, dams, water/wastewater treatment plants, etc.). -Self-starter with high motivation and the ability to work under minimal supervision. -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Proven experience in leadership, safety, negotiations, planning, and contract administration. -Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment. -Strong problem-solving skills. -Quick learner with the ability to understand various processes regarding Kiewit’s policies, procedures, and software programs. -Regular, reliable attendance -Ability to access all areas on a construction project site.
