Tasks

We’re looking for a Yard / Depot Engineer to join our team in Bridgend. You’ll be supporting the Depot Foreman with the preparation, testing, and repair of generator sets, primarily in the yard, with occasional customer site visits. -Maintain high health & safety standards and tidy work areas. -Service, maintain, and ensure the overall upkeep of generators (15KVA+) for the rental fleet. -Contribute to continuous improvement programs. -Install and synchronize generator packages on site and in the depot. -Operate a forklift as required. -Participate in on-call rota (currently 1 week in 5, after training). -Re-book generators into stock. -Follow manufacturer service schedules. -Perform off-site servicing and repairs as needed. -Assist in yard operations, including loading and offloading equipment.

What You Bring

This is a hands-on, varied role for someone who enjoys working with generators and diesel equipment. -CSCS card preferred but not essential. -Ability to work independently and as part of a team. -Forklift licence advantageous (training available). -Full UK driving licence (towing categories preferred). -Must be eligible to work in the UK. -Relevant qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Diesel Fitting, or Plant (City & Guilds, BTEC, or equivalent) or proven experience with generators/large diesel engines. -DBS check required.
