Substation Secondary Design Engineer - Bay Control and Protection

Overview

Design and produce protection/control schematics for substations using AutoCAD Electrical.

Tasks

-Preparation of Junction Box for CT, VT, and Density monitors, AC / DC Load calculation. -Preparation of Single Line Diagram/ Protection Single Line Diagram. -Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. -Preparation of Mimic boards in line with SLD and Layout drawings. -Adhering to applicable codes, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards, and specifications. -Preparation of Panel Layout and BOM. -Addressing the technical queries raised by the customer during the execution of a project, if required. -Preparation of protection schematics (Trafo, Line, Busbar) when we’ve integrated protection in LCC . -Preparation of Protection and Control Panel schematics for Medium/High Voltage Substation. -Interaction with various cross-function teams like Primary, Project Management, and Production, when required. -Preparation of Interlocking table and schematics for various Busbar configurations. -Generating Preliminary BOM by understanding the importance and consequences of releasing it. -Self -reviewing the documents before submitting them to Lead Engineer. -Preparation of complete Digital Control & Protection drawings as part of Digital Substation (with NCITs, MU’s, SAM600 modules, etc...). -Preparation of Trip Matrix and IO Signal list.

What You Bring

-Bachelors in B.E / Diploma in Electrical Engineering. -Should have ability to work in a team and maintain professionalism. -Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required. -Should have excellent knowledge of AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical tools. -Should have the experience 5-8 years. -Should have familiarity with codes and applicable standards like IEC, IEEE, ANSI, etc... -Should have very good knowledge of Protection & Control Systems for T & D / Gen. -Understanding and preparation of Communication Architecture diagrams. -Should have relay configuration and testing added advantage.
