-Lead and oversee all mechanical engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development to execution and closeout -Monitor project progress and performance metrics, identifying opportunities for optimization and efficiency improvements -Review and evaluate vendor proposals and technical documentation to ensure alignment with project requirements and specifications -Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and designers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development -Foster a culture of safety, quality, and environmental stewardship, ensuring that all engineering activities are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedures -Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and HAZOP/HAZID sessions to ensure effective communication and coordination among project teams -Interface with clients, regulatory agencies, and third-party contractors to address technical inquiries, resolve engineering issues, and facilitate project approvals -Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and mitigation measures associated with decommissioning activities -Develop engineering design specifications, calculations, and drawings for offshore brownfield asset retirement activities, ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements -Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to develop project scopes, schedules, and budgets, and ensure timely delivery of engineering deliverables
-Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is required for the role. Willing to consider candidates who are willing and qualified test for the PE certification withing 6 months of employment -Familiarity with industry regulations and standards governing offshore decommissioning activities, including API, ISO, and OSHA requirements -Proficiency in industry-standard software tools, such as AutoCAD, CAESAR II, and PDMS/AVEVA, for engineering design and analysis -Willingness to travel to offshore facilities and project sites as needed to support engineering activities and project execution -Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical engineering roles, with a focus on offshore oil and gas projects -Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degree preferred -Meaningful and interesting projects delivered to leaders of industry across renewables and emerging energy sectors -Demonstrated expertise in engineering design, analysis, and optimization of offshore facilities, including platforms, pipelines, and subsea infrastructure -Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders -Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality engineering solutions
