Tasks

-Investigate non-PGM electro-catalysts for AEM water electrolysis, identifying promising candidates for further development -Integrate catalyst with ionomers to fabricate and optimize non-PGM AEM electrodes -Prepare and evaluate technical plans, reports, presentations, and proposals to support project success -Conduct durability testing to study degradation mechanisms, and develop mitigation strategies to improve AEM electrode durability -Perform electrochemical and physical characterization of electrocatalyst materials and electrolysis cells -Contribute to related projects, such as proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolysis or fuel cells, as assigned

What You Bring

-The successful candidate should have direct knowledge and experience in electrocatalyst synthesis, as well as fabrication and testing of MEAs/CCMs for water electrolyzers. -Ph.D. or equivalent in in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or closely related field -Extensive experience in AEM water electrolysis or related electrochemical energy conversion technologies is highly desirable -Hand-on experience in electrocatalyst synthesis, electrode fabrication, and electrochemical characterization is preferred -Ability to work efficiently within a multidisciplinary research environment
