Extinguisher/Kitchen Suppression Technician

Overview

NFPA-based service, inspection and installation of fire extinguishers and kitchen suppression systems.

Tasks

-Participate in after-hours / emergency on call rotation -Monitor and assure progress and completion of all assigned tasks. -Perform inspections from man lifts at elevations of 30 to 40 feet from ground level, as necessary. -Responsible for maintaining proper inventory and work load. -Up-sell Company capabilities to new and existing customers. -Perform basic troubleshooting and describe any issues to owners and service managers for repairs. -Responsible for self-scheduling of daily inspections. -Perform service, inspections and installations based on NFPA 10, 17, 17A, 96 -Complete and submit all work tickets and inspection reports to administrative personnel in a timely manner.

What You Bring

-Ability to lift a minimum of 75 pounds is required. -Knowledge of NFPA 10, 17, 17A, and 96 is required. -Ability to work on ladders, scaffolding, and scissors or articulating lifts is required. -Ability to obtain all necessary certifications is required. -Valid driver’s license with clean driving record is required. -High School Diploma or GED is required. -Proven knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required. -Basic mechanical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, is required. -2+ years of related work experience required. -Vocational or industry trade school is a plus.
