Design Engineer developing conceptual & detailed mechanical designs, ensuring code compliance.

Tasks

-Collaborate closely with the Integration Team. -Analyze and implement RFIs, SDRs, Hotline Tickets, NCRs, PFM, EI, and DN. -The Design Engineer works with a team of engineers and designers to develop both conceptual and detailed designs, ensuring compliance with applicable norms, codes, and standards. -Application of discipline-specific processes and procedures. -Maintain full awareness of the technical scope and allotment relevant to the discipline/interdisciplinary work. -Assist Engineering Package Managers in producing building calculations and reviews. -Draft correspondence and reports as required. -Review and approve contractor’s design documentation and surveillance activities related to their discipline. -Attend design meetings with TBs and contractors.

What You Bring

-Written communication skills for drafting contractual letters and procedures. -Documentation culture and traceability. -Awareness of worksite progress. -Some skills in decision analysis tools and participation in proposal sourcing. -English proficiency at independent B2 level. -Nuclear safety culture and ITER safety objectives. -Limited knowledge of ISO 9001/19443, order 07/02/2012, and ITER framework. -English professional working proficiency -Ability to work in a team and matrix environment. -Knowledge and practice of ITER codes, norms, and standards. -Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering -Well organized -HSE knowledge (security control and environmental risks). -Empathy and spoken communication skills. -Ability to read and interpret plans or models. -Understanding engineering trades and project lifecycle.
