Coordinate department staffing on/off projects and estimates of Portland based resources and coordinate overflow staffing needs and resourcing sharing with regional offices.

Establish key relationships with external firms or suppliers for on-call needs, as warranted.
Support estimating efforts with RFP reviews, proposal responses and engineering fee estimate development
Ensure project contract compliance and technical deliverable accuracy
Facilitate quality management, quality process compliance and technical correctness on assigned projects, acting as Engineer of Record as needed.
Provide overall engineering/design technical leadership and expertise within the discipline.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
Grow, train and develop the Portland office engineering and design resources
Actively engage on projects ensuring resource needs are communicated and project schedules and budgets are maintained
Manage performance of department resources by providing timely feedback, and promote personnel development by assisting each resource in career succession planning and goal development.
Identify hiring needs/gaps and actively manage to fill open roles in collaboration with internal and external recruiting avenues.

Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) or Graduate degree in Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited university
Knowledge of engineering and construction standards and processes including scheduling, contracts, coordinating and managing all disciplines
Strong attention to detail; strong communication, interpersonal, leadership and team-building skills.
Ability to work in a growing, adaptive and multi-discipline team environment
