Overview
Design and coordinate water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Tasks
-Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees -Liaise with multidisciplinary project teams (including transportation, municipal, structural, electrical and mechanical engineers, planners, environmental scientists and technical support staff). -Perform assessments, design calculations, hydraulic reviews, data collection, and data analysis to support engineering activities -Participate in the creation of contract drawings, contract specifications, and tender packages -Liaise with equipment suppliers and vendors for equipment selection -Field work including construction observation, water quality sampling and infrastructure condition assessments. -Supporting project managers with the coordination of design team activities, direction to project team members including engineers and technical support staff, and ongoing support to regional account leads. -Coordinate with public and private sector clients, government review and approval agencies, sub-consultants and subcontractors.

What You Bring
-Proficient in project proposal preparation and presentations -Preliminary design, detailed design and expertise in the assessment of pumping systems and treatment processes for water and wastewater treatment systems, water supply and wastewater collection infrastructure. -Ability to work in multidisciplinary team, client and industry relationships, and regulatory agency consultation -Project coordination initially of small sized infrastructure projects, leading to larger assignments following demonstrated proficiency. -Knowledge of relevant municipal/provincial engineering standards and regulatory requirements -Experience and knowledge of water and wastewater treatment equipment/facilities, pumping stations, and community infrastructure -Registered as an Engineer in Training (EIT) or eligible to be licensed within 6 months and willingness to obtain professional registrations in other provinces/territories as required -Possess self-awareness and act responsibly on job sites -1-2 years of relevant work experience in the consulting or utility industry preferred -Understand a range of project design and implementation activities including development of design drawings and reports, contract document preparation, tendering, and contract administration -Excellent communication skills and the ability to network in professional settings -The ability to anticipate, examine, and adopt new and innovative solutions is a crucial driver for the continual and progressive advancement of our business performance.
