Tasks

-Understand company and partner capabilities and limitations; assemble strategic teams and partnerships when desired; learn from industry leaders and review publications. Assist with external teaming arrangements and partnerships to include identifying, selecting, and recruiting consultant partners and subconsultants. -Leverage capabilities of and coordinate pursuits and work with sister and affiliate Michael Baker companies to grow revenue and client relationships across the portfolio of companies. -Identify and develop emerging talent and leadership to create upward opportunity and succession planning. -Participate in the development and execution of capture plans with the objective of increasing the win probability of targeted pursuits. Participate in Go/No-Go evaluations. -Assist and/or lead the strategy and messaging for targeted pursuits, including all elements to craft winning proposals. Assist with the development of gap analyses, competitive assessments, discriminators and key win themes, and overall win strategy/value proposition. -Accountable for metrics including, but not limited to: -Mentor and motivate staff on performance feedback, high level technical guidance, financial management, and client relations. -Maximize Michael Baker’s industry exposure and capabilities in this sector, including expanding relationships with clients and industry partners while embracing emerging technologies and innovations. -Grow new clients and diversify Michale Baker services, drives business development strategy with the local and regional BD team to broaden the capabilities of the office/region and grow the business. Actively engages in business development strategy with project managers, subject matter experts, market and practice Leads, operations, and regional directors. -Provide strategic leadership to the operations and functional teams supporting this sector, ensuring alignment with company objectives. This is a seller doer role with a target utilization of up to 25% on projects as Principal-In-charge.

What You Bring

-Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, business, or related field required. -Excellent communications and negotiation abilities. -Proven experience in A&E services and project management. -Proper license or certificate strongly preferred. -Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices. Demonstrable industry engagement and relationships in the market. -Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and guide a team. -Demonstrable thought leadership in innovative technologies in data center design and delivery (100MW+). Knowledge and experience with the complexity of the planning and design of large-scale data center campuses and related power. -Ability to bring in clients with past relationships and quickly develop the business. -15 years related experience in Architecture, Engineering or related leadership roles in the Mission Critical / Data Center market. Relevant experience in Power Gen and relevant aspects of the Energy market is a plus. -Proven experience in managing architecture and engineering teams in the design of mission critical facilities. Portfolio of recently completed projects for data center industry leaders (100MW+). -It is unlawful in Massachusetts to require or administer a lie detector test as a condition of employment or continued employment.
