The Role

Overview

Lead mechanical design, development, testing, and project management for digital signage systems.

Tasks

-Conduct and define testing methods (DATP), FEA and CFD analyses to validate designs. -Prepare quotes and cost estimates for development time and part costs. -Work with sheet metal, castings, extrusions, plastic molding, tubing, and complex assemblies. -Interpret design plans, engineering drawings and product specifications to execute objectives. -Solve technical problems and redesign products for robustness and cost reduction. -Ensure designs meet standards (UL, ADA, ISO 9001/14000) and best practices for manufacturability, inspection, assembly, testing and installation. -Lead customer high-level calls and mentor/train team members. -Research emerging technologies to improve mechanical and electromechanical systems. -Lead high-level projects and manage key personnel in support of upper managers and directors. -Develop and test new products applying engineering knowledge; complete engineering projects by evaluating, organizing, executing and controlling all elements.

What You Bring

Travel: ~25% (Nationally and Internationally) -3-8 years of broad-based manufacturing and engineering experience. -Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. -Experience quoting and cost estimating. -SolidWorks 2020 and 3D modeling software (SolidWorks preferred). -Experience leading projects and high-level customer calls. -Proven design engineering ability. -Electronic and electro-mechanical design experience preferred. -Effective communication and writing skills.
