The Role

Overview

Design and deliver LV electrical & telecom systems for infrastructure projects

Tasks

-Provide technical support during construction and contribute to Safety in Design (SiD) reviews. -Coordinate with the HV Engineer, internal construction team, and external authorities (Energex, Ergon, NBN). -Design and review LV electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, and switchboard single-line diagrams. -Ensure all designs comply with AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 1158, AS/NZS 61439, and AS/NZS 11801 standards. -Perform lighting (AGi32) and power (PowerCAD) calculations and assessments for new and existing installations. -Develop engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation in collaboration with CAD drafters.

What You Bring

-Ability to translate design concepts into practical, buildable solutions. -Strong communication, teamwork, and documentation skills. -Understanding of structured cabling, security systems, and authority coordination. -3+ years’ experience in AS/NZS 3000-compliant LV electrical design, ideally across infrastructure or building services projects. -Proficiency in AutoCAD, AGi32, and PowerCAD. -Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
