The Role

Overview

Student welding position involving MIG/stick welding, blueprint reading, and basic fabrication.

Tasks

-Reads and interprets blueprints, including reading and interpreting GS's, flowcharts, and spool drawings. -Assembly of components with some fabrication of equipment needed for the job with minimal supervision. -Promotes and supports safety, production, and positive attitude. -Carries out directions and works on own initiative with a minimum level of supervision. -Makes comparison of spool drawings to GA's to assure correctness.

What You Bring

-Enrollment in Accredited skilled trades college program relevant to welding/fabricating. -Uses metal core MIG or stick welding process. -Ability to work well within a team and learn from more senior staff. -High school diploma or equivalent. -Ability to read, write and speak English. -Working knowledge of relevant HSE procedures and regulations. -Positions fit pipe. -Capable of structural layout. -Able to tack, use grinder and general shop hand tools. -Clear communication skills a must.
