Tasks

-Collaborating with existing GIS staff members working in other Stantec offices. -Supporting geospatial field data collection efforts. Typical collected features include wetlands, waterways and rare, threatened, or endangered species occurrences or habitats. -Produce custom thematic map products and carry out data analysis/summaries to support multidisciplinary project deliverables. -Compile, create and maintain spatial and nonspatial information for a variety of platforms primarily involving ESRI ArcGIS Software (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online (AGO)). -Managing a wide variety of projectspecific and reference geospatial data in accordance with defined data management standards. -Adhering to established cartographic standards and Quality Assurance / Quality Control processes. -Prepare web maps, online dashboards, and manage data for field survey crews, using applications and platforms which include Survey 123, Field Maps, and ArcGIS Online.

What You Bring

-Ability to maintain and establish effective working relationships. -Prior experience in the delivery of GIS products and analytical solutions as they relate to Environmental Assessments, site assessments, and the Environmental Regulatory Process is an asset. -Recognizes when technical problems are developing and initiates appropriate corrective actions. -Experience building and using a GIS to solve problems, present results, and graphically report analytical data for multidisciplinary teams. -Bachelors’ degree or equivalent in GIS, Geography, Geoscience, Environmental Science, or related field with demonstrated GIS training or coursework. -Ability to perform work accurately in a detailoriented environment. -Knowledge of Arcade, Python, and other GIS Programming languages. -Technical training and experience in GIS mapping, geospatial analysis, and geographic principles (e.g., map projections and coordinate systems). -Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, collaborative environment. -Valid state driver’s license -Ability to meet project deadlines and understand how assigned tasks relate to project goals. -Understands how to convert data from older sources such as maps and books into accurate digital formats. -Educated knowledge and experience working with Esri ArcGIS software suite, primarily ArcPro and ArcGIS Online, as well as ArcGIS Experience Builder, ArcGIS Field Maps, ArcGIS Survey123 and ArcGIS for Desktop. -Experience performing environmental fieldwork using a GPS and postprocessing data is beneficial but not required. -Demonstrates a knowledge of cartography and at least some understanding of graphic design. -Exceptional visual, written, and verbal communication skills, problemsolving abilities, and attention to detail. -Work in Windows 11 Enterprise and using MS Office suite of applications (Teams, Outlook, Word, Access, Excel, SharePoint). -Working knowledge CAD software, such as AutoCAD or MicroStation platforms. -Experience working with LiDAR data. -Minimum of 13 years of experience providing professional (noncoursework) related GIS Services.
