You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning of small-scale fire detection and alarm system projects across a variety of commercial & residential sites.

  • Ensure work is completed within budget and timeline, maintaining high-quality standards
  • Participate in training and development sessions to maintain up-to-date knowledge of systems and regulations
  • Carry out small works installations, including modifications and upgrades to existing systems
  • Complete detailed job reports, commissioning certificates, and handover documentation
  • Install, commission, and test fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839-1 and client requirements
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers or apprentices, if required
  • Liaise effectively with customers, project managers, and other stakeholders
  • Adhere to all company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Systems Small Works Installation Engineer to join our growing team.

  • Strong knowledge of BS 5839 and relevant fire safety standards
  • Experience with emergency lighting systems or additional life safety systems
  • ECS or CSCS Card
  • Full UK driving license
  • Electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation)
  • FIA Units 1, 4, or equivalent fire systems qualifications
  • Familiarity with key fire alarm systems such as Gent, Advanced, Kentec, Apollo, Hochiki, etc.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proven experience in installing and commissioning fire alarm systems
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • IPAF / PASMA / Asbestos Awareness certification
