Overview

Design and develop mechanical systems and machines using SolidWorks in R&D projects.

Tasks

-Perform as a staff advisor and consultant on technical specialties, equipment, or program functions. -Keep leaders informed on the status of assigned projects with timely updates and alternate plan suggestions. -Follow up with other departments on project tasks to ensure critical items are completed within needed timelines. -Ensure project tasks assigned to others are completed within budget, schedule, and priority. -Achieve all assigned project tasks and objectives within established strategies, ensuring functionality and meeting specifications. -Conduct engineering design reviews to ensure fit, function, and accuracy. -Recommend changes in methods and procedures to improve project completion or engineering processes.

What You Bring

-Experience in mechanical engineering and mechanical design -1+ year of Solidworks experience -Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Associates with relevant experience considered) -5+ years of machine design experience -Experience with sheet metal design -Knowledge of sheet metal and machine design -Experience in equipment design, new product development, R&D engineering -Proficiency in Solidworks -Familiarity with a manufacturing environment and tooling
