The Role

Overview

Manage execution of environmental waste projects ensuring compliance, safety, and profitability.

Tasks

-Works with customers to proactively establish reuse, reduction, recycling and alternate treatment options and develop and implement subsequent programs. -Provides training and end-user support. -Offers general guidance for Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA), Department of Transportation (DOT), Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) and other applicable local, state, and federal regulatory bodies. -Performs onsite customer service work including, but not limited to: regulatory inspections, participation in plant committees, waste characterization, shipping, profiling and document preparation for waste streams. -Provides data and reporting to customers in a manner consistent with contract or purchase order specifications. -Assists in the implementation of technical systems, software, or solutions. -Works closely with sales team to propose customer solutions compliant with appropriate local, state and federal regulations. -Works with sales team to identify new opportunities and retain existing business. -Monitors sub-contractor services for completeness or deficiencies.

What You Bring

-Essential competencies to perform this job include analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills; must be detail oriented and possess technical aptitude. -To perform the duties of this job, the employee must have knowledge of complex regulations specific to the environmental waste industry, management principles and best practices including analysis and evaluation and research methods and strategies. -Knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications is essential. -Ability to work under pressure, exercise independent judgment and select effective course of action while controlling resources and expenditures. -Must be knowledgeable of current industrial safety practices and industrial hygiene and of hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal operations.
