Tasks

As our Project Manager, you will lead the successful execution of commercial construction projects from planning to closeout, ensuring safety, quality, and financial performance. Your expertise in financial oversight, schedule coordination, document management, and quality control will be instrumental in delivering outstanding results and ensuring client satisfaction. In this key role, you will be an ambassador for Jackson Construction fostering relationships with Owners, Architects, and Subcontractors, while leading and mentoring team members, and addressing challenges proactively. -Assist with bid invitations, review vendor agreements, and provide input on baseline schedules and preliminary logistics. -Maintain accurate project records in Procore, including RFIs, submittals, and meeting documentation. -Lead project meetings, delegate responsibilities, and mentor Assistant Project Managers and Project Engineers. -Ensure client satisfaction and maintain relationships for future work. -Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation strategies in coordination with the Director of Operations. -Enforce quality standards and verify work aligns with drawings and specifications. -Facilitate preconstruction meetings, finalize subcontractor buyouts, and prepare project-specific instructions for a smooth transition from planning to construction. -Monitor financial accuracy and alignment with project timelines and budget expectations. -Oversee project budgets, prepare and track owner billings, and manage subcontractor payments and change orders. -Promote collaboration among Owners, Architects, Subcontractors, and internal teams to achieve shared goals. -Collaborate with the Project Superintendent to maintain schedules, coordinate subcontractors, and allocate resources to meet project milestones. -Oversee punch list completion, closeout activities, and warranty processes. -Recommend process improvements and support training initiatives to enhance project delivery. -Resolve critical project issues through proactive communication with Owners and Architects. -Ensure timely delivery of project phases. -Provide timely updates on progress, budgets, and performance metrics. -Conduct performance reviews and provide actionable feedback to support team growth. -Support field teams in maintaining safety protocols and resolving compliance issues promptly.

What You Bring

-Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and resolve issues effectively. -Experience managing complex commercial or institutional projects (K-12, higher education, healthcare, public facilities, etc.). -Strong financial management skills, including subcontractor pay applications and change order processes. -Proficiency with construction project management software (Procore preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. -K-12 construction experience is preferred. -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. -Proven track record of delivering projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and safety standards.
