Tasks

-Perform ETP analysis and simulation, system modeling, protection coordination, reliability studies, load flow studies and grounding integrity. -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -For more Senior candidates, may lead projects and other engineers -Prepare electrical engineering designs, including layout, design schematics, calculations and conceptual designs; utilizing standard methods and project principles. -Evaluate, select, and apply engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to design medium to large industrial projects. -Mentor and guide junior engineers, maintaining a comprehensive understanding of departmental design standards, applicable engineering codes, and Kiewit guidelines, providing suggestions and recommendations as needed. -Support RFP, Pre-Feed, FEED, D/B and EPC projects for electrical designs across multiple markets -Utilize SmartPlant for balance of plant electrical systems design. -Formulate technical specifications and prepare interface points with construction partners. Schedule, review, and coordinate design efforts with other project personnel, performing bid evaluations of equipment and construction proposals and developing recommendations for contract award. -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Work independently on small projects, or as a part of a large multi-discipline team on larger projects, including working with both in-house inter-discipline engineers and construction partners to provide our Clients the industry’s best of both engineering and physical design. -Prepare electrical engineering deliverables that could include: one-lines, layout, design schematics, wiring diagrams, equipment data sheets, hazardous area classification drawings, electrical power studies, calculations, grounding studies, systems analysis studies, support low and medium voltage design, etc... Perform complex calculations and applies standards correctly, without supervision.
